Both Denmark and Namibia have been added to the High Performance Program by the ICC. 2 more teams will be added, but they will NOT be from Asia, and will be chosen from the WCQS Div 5 next year. It seems at the momment that Uganda and PNG might be the forerunners to get those [...]

Here is the full deal. Asia will have 2 spots, Europe and Americas will have 1 each, while there will probably 2 spots going to a combined Africa/EAP tournament.
I would have thought that ICC would also think about giving Nepal an Automatic spot, perhaps even Ireland. Nepal finished in the top 10 this time, beating [...]

This is a bit interesting. Bangladesh being more successful in ODIs, behind only to NZ and Aus than the rest.
What I find to be very odd is that NZ, despite being #2, played only 12 ODIs!!!! Thats less than Kenya, and about 40% of Both Zim and Bangladesh. Surely, NZ would have liked to have some outing [...]

The only thing I am confused about is the timing. As far as I know, there was already a triangular series scheduled between Kenya/Canada and Scotland before the WCL in January. Has Canada been replaced in that triangular series with Ireland? Or is this a new triseries?

Very interesting. China has won their first ever representative cricket match. Bhutan beating Maldives also seems to be an interesting indication, given the amount of interest in cricket in Maldives, and the the fact that Maldives have been affiliated with ICC for much longer.
Rego? Are you in Thailand watching all this? How about some first [...]

First things first. As expected, the tour is getting a decent publicity in the Scottish press, much more than what the European championships got. As far as Bangladesh is concerned, the fact that these are full ODIs, has pushed Bangladesh to play their full team. The only player missing is Khaled Masud, who is probably [...]
