News: Kenya to host Scotland and Ireland in triseries
Posted on December 15, 2006 by Nasir M. Khan
The only thing I am confused about is the timing. As far as I know, there was already a triangular series scheduled between Kenya/Canada and Scotland before the WCL in January. Has Canada been replaced in that triangular series with Ireland? Or is this a new triseries?
Not sure on this - the cricinfo story seems to be the first anyone has heard of it. Not sure whether they get more news than the rest of us, or they have stuffed up.
Last I heard from CK (though about a month ago, so anything could happen) was the series was Ken,Scot,Can.
Shall watch this with interest - Kenya would probably benefit more from the ‘new’ series rather than beating canada again, but I hate it when teams are messed around by late changes.
Nasir, through various contacts I can confirm that the Irish Cricket Union knows nothing about this series.
Cricinfo has the story wrong? did they misprint Ireland instead of Canada? But the report mentions that it is a move to get the top 3 associates playing with each other…..
ck say they know nothing about Ireland and that the other two have completed travel arrangements. So yep, looks like cricinfo are wrong.
Very strange that they have not even corrected their mistake at cricinfo……
