News: Something brewing in Ireland…

There has been a media silence observed by the Irish team after the Netherlands game, and they have given a letter to describe their position. They state that they have some issues with the board that needs to be resolved, including WC money.
I think vis a viz Ireland, we may be in for some crisis in the coming days. As if losing players to england, and some making themselves unavailable for financial reasons was not enough.
Somehow the ICU has to find the money. Beg, Steal….. do whatever, but find the money because the time is right now to do push the game forward. In fact, it may be getting a little late already.

What happened to the money that the ICU will receive from hosting the Ind-SA games? I think the ICU is supposed to get somewhere around $600k…
And…why is it still difficult to find sponsors despite the increased profile of the team and the sport post World Cup?…Is it another case of inefficient functioning…..?
I think becuase of the way those games went, and also because not many showed up to watch the games, ICU has barely broken even on the Ind-SA series. Hence, it is unlikely that there is any pot of gold over there.
I don’t think the ICU expected the major chunk of their revenue to come from ticket sales…They were desirous of hosting these games because of the hefty amount the BCCI promised them from the TV rights money…
