Finally….. at least this tour has had some point for Kenya……..
And this victory was without Tikolo in the lineup………..
The series has ended up having everyone on 2 points at the momment………. one more victory by Kenya could see them in the final……..
I think they will need 2 wins as they failed to get a bonus point. The other teams are both on 5 pts, Kenya are on 4.
A good win considering that Tikolo as you say wasn’t playing and also that Odoyo only bowled in a limited capacity - second change rather than opening.
A worry that so many cheap wickets were given away still - we really could and should have won this one by 5+ wickets.
Still, a good confidence booster and good to see 2 players setting career bests in List A matches (Ongondo + Ouma).
hopefully we can break the India A hoodoo on Saturday…
Well…. they need to give much better performance in the upcoming matches…… it will take more than a solitary 2 wkt win to drown the depressing performances of the last 2 weeks……
but nonetheless…… good that they have made a point……
I guess they don’t suck too much now hey Nasir.
They don’t suck…lack of competitive cricket is all.
Go Kenya!!!!
I guess they still do suck…… loss by 80 runs against India A today…….
The whole thing has to be looked at as a whole……. so far, 4 terrible losses, and one close victory……. i guess you cannot call it a ‘total loss’…… win against Sri A was good, and today it wasnt all pointless either, sill managed to make 200 runs, with Obanda making 62…….. Onyango has been doing well with the ball as well…….
If India beat Sri, and Kenya can beat sri, maybe they can still get into the final……
Are there first class games also scheduled against sri A?
Tis tour is not so much about results for Kenya as gaining experience and improving, both of which have happened. Several good individual scores from players have shown glimpses of what could be, they are just not quite getting it together as a team.
I don’t think it as a matter of they suck - India A and Sri Lanka A are good teams made up of players who play cricket every day, Kenaya are a team with plenty of talented players who play once a week. It needs to be looked at in context. Far better they lose and improve than win and don’t.
No First Class games are scheduled against SL - too close to 20-20 warmups I think.
