News: Dutch beat Bermuda by 172 runs…..

This is just bad….. I cannot make any comments….. there is a lot of talk about Clay Smith and Saleem Mukaddem missing…….. Clay Smith is quite old now, and may retire, while Mukaddem has already retired…….. so this is what Bermuda is likely to be in the future……… Losses like this to Netherlands coupled with losses against Denmark as well earlier…….
Intersting to see De Grooth/Kervezee having another succesful partnership for Netherlands……. and also interesting to see Zuiderant failing for the 10th consecutive time ! What is wrong with him?

I’m pretty sure Clay Smith has retired.
When you consider their results against Denmark, I don’t think this result was completely unexpected…To have such poor standards despite having the least of the problems affecting fellow associates is simply not acceptable…Bermuda are supposed to come over to Kenya for an Intercontinental Cup game in early November…I think Uganda and Tanzania must look to use this opportunity to prove their point…
Continuing on Bermuda, they’ve capitalized on the absence of USA and managed to qualify for the U19 WC in Malaysia early next year…Now, I’m sure there are atleast 5-6 U19 teams the world over who are better than this Bermudan team but will not make it to the WC…It’s high time the ICC has a relook at its U19 qualifying format…Be it senior or U19 cricket, Bermuda seem to have luck going for them…
But despite a run like they’ve had, I just hope cool heads prevail within the Bermudan setup, and they don’t have a knee-jerk reaction and try shove in lots of members of their current U-19 team. Instead I’d prefer to see them gradually phase in players.
As for Zuiderant, well, as the saying goes “Form is temporary, class is permanent.” he’s a quality player for the Dutch side, and I’m sure that the selector’s faith will pay dividends eventually.
