Stats: And the team with the best success ratio in 2007 ODIs is….

Not australia, they are in second place with 73%. Not SA either, they are in third place with 65%.

The top team, at least so far in 2007 (not much of it is left) is….. Kenya !!!…. with 76%

The stats are here

I think ICC needs to push the big boys to play these associate a little bit more than what is going on right now, because stats have started to mislead.

  1. [...] The stats can be found here, and the tip for this post comes from Nasir M. Khan from his blog here. [...]

  2. Its like the way Bangladesh were the third most successful team in 2006, although it is sad that out of the 17 ODI’s Kenya played in 2007 only two have any kind of impact on their position in the ODI championship table.

  3. Excellent to see!

A have to agree with Andy on this though - it still seems nonsensical that a team can have ODI status and yet matches against it are not counted towards rankings points on the ICC ladder.

Hopefully we will see Kenya playing more matches against higher ranked teams in 2008.

Well done to the players, it may be against weaker opposition than other teams, but as Australia so often harp on about, you cannot judge a team based on its opponents.
