A couple of days back, Kenya Select XI took on Zimbabwe A in a 4 day match. Zimbabwe A ended up winning that game….. a bit of fight from Kenya, but not enough.
The thing is…… the Kenya select was not an A side, it was actually more than an A side. 7 of their players were [...]

Kenya reached the semi final in the 2003 WC….. say what you will, but the point is that Kenya HAD to beat 3 test teams to get to that position irrespective of what New Zealand did….. Kenya beat Sri lanka, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe (the last being a fairly stronger opposition than the current model)…… Kenya [...]

What a thrashing…… chasing down the total in 18 overs without the loss of a wicket. Bermuda would have wanted such a scorecard against a big test team, not against Kenya. Bermuda is getting more and more hopeless by the day, being unable to stand up, and even be counted against Kenya.
Lets see how the [...]

The only thing I am confused about is the timing. As far as I know, there was already a triangular series scheduled between Kenya/Canada and Scotland before the WCL in January. Has Canada been replaced in that triangular series with Ireland? Or is this a new triseries?

First things first. As expected, the tour is getting a decent publicity in the Scottish press, much more than what the European championships got. As far as Bangladesh is concerned, the fact that these are full ODIs, has pushed Bangladesh to play their full team. The only player missing is Khaled Masud, who is probably [...]

A 3-0 drubbing.
Many newbie enthusiasts have been blindly looking at Bermuda’s performance in the Americas championships and considering them to be perhaps at par with Kenya. Well, for once I think that that argument should at least ve put to rest. One thing that does need to be kept in mind is that Bermuda is [...]

Kenya 316 & 186-6
Uganda 156 & 95
Kenya won by 251 runs
I think this tells you something that we all already know….. that associates dont really have any depth…… even Kenya, if without 5 of their key players, would end up losing to a full Uganda team……. I think the only way forward for the UCA [...]

Perhaps quite depressing, one would have thought that Uganda can at least compete with Kenya. but as I mentioned in a comment a while earlier, the [...]

I have been following the newspapers of both countries and there has been a decent amount of interest shown by both nations in covering the ongoing tour…… this bodes well for Cricket in East Africa……
To me, such 10 day tours should be the norm between the East Africans, now that Tanzania is doing well too…… [...]
