The only thing I am confused about is the timing. As far as I know, there was already a triangular series scheduled between Kenya/Canada and Scotland before the WCL in January. Has Canada been replaced in that triangular series with Ireland? Or is this a new triseries?

First things first. As expected, the tour is getting a decent publicity in the Scottish press, much more than what the European championships got. As far as Bangladesh is concerned, the fact that these are full ODIs, has pushed Bangladesh to play their full team. The only player missing is Khaled Masud, who is probably [...]

I think this is really good news. I believe that Scotland is trying to get around $500,000 (about 270K pounds) per year from the govt if they get incorporated as an elite sport in sportscotland. That would be a huge jump, from the current level of around $80K (50K pounds) per year.
This money is only [...]

Scotland has landed a sponsorship deal for the Bangladesh tour with a major oil company. This is great news, but I am a little confused. What happenned to Lyods TSB?, who have always been Scotland sponsors? I think such a commercial backing will at least get Scotland to be playing more and more of cricket [...]

Flintoff recently toured Scotland to promote the Ashes series for Sky Sports, and in one of the sessions he has met with a few upcoming cricketing kids and also mentioned that Scotland should not be underestimated in next years World Cup.
I think Scotland will find it tough to upset either South Africa or Australia. The [...]

Scotland will be touring Benagladesh for at least 2 ODI matches in December……
Whats up with a 2 ODI series?? Why cant they just have 3?? I can understand a 2 match series with a big test nation…… but this would be a very interesting series, and Scotland will at least push Bangla more than Kenya…….. [...]

Jonathan Coates has written in article in the Scotsman today identifying the 15 players he thinks will make the Scotland squad for the world cup, while also identifying the 7 he thinks will be the reserves. The 7 reserves, I think, that he is mentioning are only for the time being, until Scotland finalize their squad around 15th February……. [...]

Denmark needed 4 off the last ball with Zishan Shah facing, but it ended up being a dot ball……. However, the Danes fought very well in this game, and they need to think about why Thomas Hansen was not playing…….. The scottish team however has perhaps found their permanent opener in Watts, who scored 171* [...]

But it was a 20/20 match, so I would not read too much into it….I think the game was inconclusive, although, it asks the questions about what is happenning…… Scotland beat 3 counties in C&G Trophy, Ireland only 1. Ireland have now beaten Scotland, and Scotland and Netherlands seem to be at par with each [...]

Yet another surprise…. Ireland look like they want to complete a clean sweep of European tournaments…. They beat Scotland by 85 runs, and Scotland had Dougie Brown, hence only Gavin Hamilton was missing…..
For Ireland, Morgan, and Neil O Brien, two players who were not available for them in the C&G Trophy, were the main scorers, [...]
