News: Bermuda’s Trinidad Tour facing problems

Bermuda's Tour of Trinidad has been hit by unavailability of some of their semi professional cricketers. This is strange news to me, because I personally thought that the only assocaite country where the cricketers were given time off for national cricket duty very easily was Bermuda, in addition to the fact that they are already semi professional cricketers, so they may actually be able to take the time off and end up still getting decent remuneration.

With the World Cup just under a year away, things like this can hardly be afforded, it’s pointless sending a second string team because it’s not likely that most of those players will be going head to head with the world’s best next year, although it does give them a great opprotunity to put themselves in the minds of the selectors. The one positive is that Bermuda will be playing in T&T in the World Cup so at least some of their players have a chance to get to know the ground (Assuming of course that they will be playing at Queen’s Park Oval)
