Opinion: Ireland announce squad for Euro Championships 2006

Ireland have annouced their squad for the Euro championships with Kenneth Carroll and Boyd Rankin making their way into the squad. The team is much stronger than the one that faced England with the addition of not only these two prospects, but also Neil O Brien, and Eion Morgan. Paul Mooney was one of the weak links in the Irish side that faced England, and it is good that Rankin is there, as he may even be in the starting line up. With Jonnston, McCallan, Rankin, O Brien and Langford Smith, Ireland have a very decent attak.

Scotland is in for some interesting competition from Ireland.
